So, the tip of the week is…Become a ferocious learner!

Be honest, do you feel the weight of being the boss overwhelming at times? You are always expected to know everything. But hell, how are you supposed to know it all? You are barely able to keep up with your emails, let alone industry trend news. At the same time, you want to be seen as credible in your space. So what do you do??  This leads to the tip of the day: Find pockets of the day to learn.  

Quick-Hit Learning Moments

To be clear, this is not the time to read a dissertation. These are moments to obtain quick hits that will give you immediate insight into your field. Find windows of time when you can take in knowledge in bite-size chunks, such as…

• Listening to podcasts or audiobooks while traveling

• Download articles to read while having your morning coffee

So, go online and subscribe to a few podcasts.  Download an article from your industry journal. Commit to taking in this knowledge 2-3 times a week. Before you know it, you will be seen as an expert while also growing as a leader. Nicely done!
